Barbara Portailler mobilise la photographie comme un moyen de créer des images des détails de nos quotidiens, dans lesquelles le hors champ nous invite à reconfigurer notre intime ordinaire.

Travaillant par résonnances et rebonds, ses photographies sont un voyage intime. Elles sont autant le point de départ et l’issue des environnements dans lesquels elle nous invite à déambuler.

IMAGES OF COLLECTIVE INTIMACY

Barbara Portailler uses photography or video to explore ordinary lives and recompose the intimate ordinary. Her photographs present these stories, blending and obscuring part of the scenery so that the audience can imagine its own story.

Focusing on the journey of each composition, her images evolve, from start to finish, through a process of interaction with its audience. Likewise, video are a bridge between one installation to another, in a circular - upcycling - movement.
